The Barrel Man

This is part of a (too long) conversation between a campus safety officer (CSO) and me. I was in my office this evening, packing up boxes, when he stopped by.

CSO: So, what will you be doing on campus, since you won't be running summer conferences?

Sam: I'll continue to coach the forensics team and I'll be teaching three classes a year.

CSO: Oh - what classes?

Sam: Communication - public speaking and human communication.

CSO: That's great. I know a guy that did that and then he went on to be a rodeo clown.

The future is bright!!

We should get some people to take communication classes that are members of the CSO staff. Just a thought.
