Biig Wii-keend
1. After intensely trying for five days, we got a Nintendo Wii game system on Sunday. Five days isn't very long - but we were quite focused. Traci ended up waiting outside of Circuit City, in the rain, with two kids, doing some crowd control for 40 minutes before being let into the store that quickly turned to chaos. She won the wii-mpetition. Others didn't.
2. I couldn't help Traci wiin, because I was hosting the national qualifying tournament in Salem. Students did great. Our newest addition to the nationals crew is BrouBrou, who apparently impressed the judges with his cost-effectiveness. So, in April, I will take five students to balmy Minnesota. (This makes two amazing destinations for me - Argentina in two weeks!)
3. At dinner Sunday night with the students, one student who is proud that he shares the same middle initial as the current president of the U.S., decided to eat at Dairy Queen. He spent $11.50. At Dairy Queen! And, from what I understand, W ate all that food. W-o-W.
Labels: DQ food is nasty, Mall of America, W, Wii are all wii-nners

Yes, I smell palm trees and beef in our future! Mmm...I am soaking up the rays already, I figure I should get all the ray soaking in now before the actual ones come and give me cancer.
