Chocolate Is Smart

Yesterday: I bought a bag of candy for the kids for Christmas. It contains bell-shaped Nestle Crunch chocolates.

Today: While home alone, I opened the bag and opened a chocolate bell. I noticed that the inside of the foil wrapper had a question and I thought, "Oh, it's a little trivia game, a mental challenge while enjoying candy. This can't be too tough." After missing the first two questions (and eating two chocolates), I started to tear through foil and eat bells to satisfy my newly created need to answer a question correctly. After seven chocolate bells in one minute, I realized that the chocolate that was supposed to bring me joy was only bringing me frustration. I was 0 for 7. And while I don't claim to excel at Trivial Pursuit, I did expect myself to answer at least a couple of questions correctly -- especially when I thought that the majority of the intended audience of Nestle Crunch bells is significantly younger than I am.

Tomorrow: If I get into another type of the kids' candy, I will strategically choose a type that is trivia-free.

Here are a few of the questions --
1. What U.S. state crowns a Miss Possum Town Pig and a Miss Slugburger?
2. How many of the eight Ivy League schools are located in New England?
3. What U.S. state's town of Paducah is proudly situated "halfway between" Possum Trot and Monkey's Eyebrow?

Answers:
Mississippi, four, Kentucky

Hahaha....I wouldn't have been able to answer those either! Still, it's a good excuse to eat chocolate! :-)
