Marriage And Candy

Where I wasn't today: At work!!
Where I was today: At home and the pool.

Setting: The dining room floor.
Activity: Playing with dominoes - making lines of dominoes and watching them tumble.

* * *
Jonas: Dad, I'm not going to get married when I grow up.

Sam: That's fine - you don't have to. Why don't you want to get married?

J: Because I don't want to go to the doctor's all the time.

S: How does going to the doctor's office relate to getting married?

J: You know - how you have to go to the doctor's all the time. Wait - do you go to the doctor's a lot?

S: No.

J: Oh. Can I have some candy?
* * *

I'm so glad that Jonas is thinking about two crucial issues in life. His future is bright!

Your kids are so cute!! You're teaching them well from a young age.

Congrats for chillin' at the pool instead of working. You're my hero!

Good times! Man, I'm sure glad you're spending so much time at home, now you can teach your kids about clever ways to avoid going to the doctor, like borowing your brother's knee brace when you get run-over by a car, or getting cheap anti-biotics from Mexico and Canada... ohhh tetricyclin.

How do they think of that stuff? I mean, seriously, where does it come from? It's fascinating!
