Tuesday Pride
PROUD OF MYSELF
I showed an episode ("Diversity Day") of The Office in class today. Last week, I showed an episode of Seinfeld. I call this power teaching. (I didn't even have to work too hard to link the shows to class content - which is key in power teaching.)
PROUD OF JONAS
Jonas is reading his first "chapter book" - one in the Captain Underpants series. In two nights he has read 14 chapters. There are 29. He's enjoying reading - which is cool, even if it is about underwear.
FOUR MORE DAYS
Weather forecast for Buenos Aires calls for high temp around 80, low around 60, and a bit of rain. In honor of that prediction, I bought sunscreen for the trip.

You rock, class rocked...and in a few more days, the boat will rock. We haven't talked about this, but if the weather is nice, it might be really cool to take a boat somewhere...even out to the middle of the ocean and back.
