Good-bye, Lasagna

Tonight's dinner: Lasagna, carrots, french bread

Dinner companions: Kevin and two of his friends, Jarvin and Daniel.

Notable moments: As the 16-year-old boys are dishing up their plates, I notice that they are each taking one-fourth of the lasagna, in an unspoken effort to be equitable. They also managed to finish the bread. Kevin had about three bites of lasagna left on his plate when he declared himself full. Jarvin picked up Kevin's plate, scraped the food on to his own plate, and ate it. Jarvin weighs about 115 pounds.

I am continually amazed at these boys' abiity to consume food.

Ah, yes, the joys of being able to everything in sight and not gain an ounce of weight. Shit, how I need to be back there...

i could do that until about 7th grade, but when my body changed i didn't change my eating habits, so i became suddenly-awkwardly-chubby girl.

i was no t-mac, but it still sucked pretty bad.

My brother had this one friend, that whenever he would come over my mom would have to go shopping first and prepare meals for 8. And he wasn't tubby.

I can't do that still, but if I skip, seriously, one meal I usually lose it all.
