I usually don't run around to stores on a Saturday. I did today, and remembered why I normally don't.
HIGH/LOW-LIGHTS OF A DAY WITH THE PUBLIC
1. A car pulled out in front of a truck. The truck thought the car was too close (I didn't). The truck honked loudly for a long time, and the driver held his hand out the window, flipping off the car driver for the world to see (I did).
2. Waiting in line to return something at Fred Meyer.
3. Waiting in line to return something at Macy's.
4. Not waiting in line to return something at Marshall's.
5. Waiting in line at the bank.
6. Cast of characters at Nordstrom Rack (besides Truax - see his blog for new suit story!), including:
--6A. Woman in fancy pink athletic suit and hat, carrying a small dog, complaining that she doesn't like the Rack, "because of all the common people."
--6B. Middle-aged pimpish man in fur coat with young man. Both had big gold necklaces. Go bling!
7. While picking up my newly altered suit pants, a woman in line told me, "I like your hair."
Next Saturday, I'm not driving around. I think I'll go to Texas. Yep, that sounds good.

I get the, "Oh shit, look, a foreigner" look everyday. Today was no exception. However, I don't get the, "I like your hair comment." Oh to have fabulous hair.

you just wrote "A Saturday" backwards and tried to make us think it was something too cool for us to understand.

HA! TEXAS!! I wonder if they people in Texas will think we are all super models... You know, becuase we are of average weight. They will probably think you are skeleton in a suit. Thanks for your nice comments about the duo and see you monday at 11:30.. see what I did there? I saved myself an e-mail.

Also, I spelled a lot of words wrong in my comment. I'm not dumb. I swear.

It was a bad day. I noticed the same thing too. People are all out shopping and it's just not fun. This is why middle of the day, middle of the week, is the ideal time to go shopping at the mall, or anywhere for that matter. Damn those things called classes...and meetings...and work.

I was standing outside Marshall's this weekend waiting for some friends to come pick me up. Did you see me? Why didn't you say anything? You should have come said hi at least.

First thing- The woman is a liar. She hated your hair. and Second thing- Going to Texas would be a good choice. I ABSOLUTLEY agree. You should stay there..don't bother coming back. ;)
