There's No Place Like It
BY THE NUMBERS
409 - Miles driven today from Whistler to Hillsboro
75 - Minutes waited at the U.S/Canadian border
10.5 - Hours of trip, from start to finish
3 - Dogs (ours + Oma's golden) happy to see Traci and the boys - I was hoping for zero on this one, but I guess that all your dreams can't come true
2 - Inches of snow on the van this morning - some people say it was pretty - they didn't scrape it off and load the van
1 - Number of times "Bohemian Rhapsody" was on the radio
- - - - - - - - - -
In other news (thanks to Traci for reminding me of this), Jonas helped keep the trip interesting by:
(a) calling out a "Slugbug" when he occasionally pulled himself away from his Nintendo DS or DVD player, and
(b) answering questions like he did in the following conversation as we were driving through Olympia, WA.
ME: Hey, there's the state capitol building of Washington. Isn't it cool?
JONAS: (sincerely) Not really.

Glad you had a good trip! State capital buildings of all shapes and sizes are amazing and should be seen and admired by everyone!

Ewww, that seems like a lot of miles. I keep hearing all of these horror stories about the weather in the Portland/Seattle side of the world. I guess if you have 2 inches of snow, some of the rumors must be true. Wanna know what else is strange? Vegas got 3 inches of snow the other day. I called my dad a liar. Apparently, he wasn't lying. My bad.

Glad to have you back! Cliff took me out for dinner last night and gave me my Christmas present. It was a case of PBR. My favorite!! I thought about putting them in the freezer to get them nice and frosty, but then I remember the time you had a frozen beer and it exploded over everything. What a douche. I don't want to look that stupid.
