Random Canadian Update
The twelve of us are having a wonderful time in Whistler, BC, Canada.
It's snowing.
We made a snowman today with eyes of cookies, Doritos nose, and fruit-by-the-foot mouth. It was aweso.
People smoke pot while they ski.
We saw a road sign that said, "Don't pass by an unsafe act." Or something like that. We saw it several times. No clue.
The internet in Whistler was down when we arrived. The hotel clerk informed me that the whole town had no internet due to the storm last week. It just started again today. There is no wireless. The shared computer in the lobby is ancient. This would be Truax's personal hell. Blogspot is blocked on this computer (but blogger isn't) - so I can't read your blogs.
While driving into Whistler, we were pointing out impressive sites, such as a huge rock wall of many colors, beautiful trees and mountains, and lovely snow views. Jonas added to the conversation by noting "Slugabug red with a convertible top!"
The people here are very nice and helpful.
I will post again next week.

That does sound like my hell. I have been in hotels like that...or even worse...hotels without internet at all.
I had a guy one time, when I was skiing at Beaver Creek, ask if he could smoke. I said sure, and went back to clearing voicemail. I saw out of the corner of my eye his hand extended. I look over and the guy is trying to light a bowl of weed with a magnifier. I found out later that is one of the preferred ways to light weed, as it doesn't give off any of the chemicals from the lighter. My pot smoking friend, Erik, told me that.
Hurry back soon! I miss your updates!!

Wow, you know, I thought i was going to be the one with little to no internet and blocked pages...but no, Canada beats China on the protections. Go figure.
