Food Network, Here I Come

After Nick and I trimmed (probably too much) the maple tree in our front yard, we had the following brief conversation. Traci wasn't home. I was going to make dinner.

NICK: So, Dad, we're having Hamburger Helper and corn for dinner, right?

FONDLYSAM: Yes.

NICK: Best meal ever!

When I planned it, it sounded easy.
When I heard him say it out loud, it sounded lame, salty, and nutritionally deficient. So, I sliced some plums.

Corn totally has nutritional value. And it tastes good. Especially if you put loads of butter on it...Oh wait.
My dad used to have two meals to cook when mom was gone: McDonalds and pizza. Later he expanded to his special burritos which involved leaving all the fatty goodness in the hamburger meat. So, you are totally doing well. You have fresh veggies!
