Gift Card-stravaganza
MY GIFT
After ten years of full-time service to my university, I was rewarded with a gift card to a bookstore.
Value of gift card: $10
This equates to an average of $1 per year.
TRACI'S GIFT
After one year of part-time service to a different university, Traci was given a gift card to a nice restaurant.
Value of gift card: $50
This equates to an average of $50 per year.
COMPARING THE AVERAGES
Traci's university values her 50 times more than my university values me.
MORAL OF THE STORY (WISDOM FROM MICHAEL SCOTT)
"A salary isn't just about money, it is about perks. It - for example, every year I get a $100 gas card - can't put a price tag on that."
Labels: I tried to use my gift card but couldn't find anything for ten dollars, maybe Traci will share

Hahaha...I flashed to Napalian Dynamite, "That's like a dollar an hour" when I read that. Three cheers for Linfield.

CORRECTION: You forgot to figure in the part-time vs. full-time factor in your math. So I think Traci's university values her at least 75 times more than yours values you. Sorry.
DID YOU GET CAKE OR WHAT?!

It's the Pacific Difference! Hopefully your new university will value you both more. (Maybe that's why it was little. They're bitter that you're leaving.)
