You know those times when you find yourself alone, sitting at a bar?
I had one of those tonight. Actually, it was quite relaxing.
While waiting 40 minutes for a friend to show up (which he didn't), I had several sources of entertainment:
1. Margarita and basket o' chips + salsa
2. Thinking of Ashley's videos that I got to see at the Media Arts show - they rocked!
3. Soccer game on TV - announcers spoke in Spanish, which really didn't affect my level of enjoyment, since I don't know all of the rules, but understand enough to know how points are scored.
4. Dude at bar bragging about:
* Number of languages he speaks (he included English)
* Excessive amount of frequent flyer miles and favorite airline
* How he is better than and knows more than his peers and superiors
* His car
Well, it's time to run my fingers through my wavy hair...
(that phrase is from one of the student videos that I saw tonight)

You got stood up. What happen to the 10 minute rule. After 10 minutes, you don't have to wait anymore...or didn't you get the memo? I think it should be a universal standard, not just in college classrooms.

I agree. But at least you weren't thrown out of the bar in New York City by six bouncers.

Sorry I didn't call. I was busy tonight and couldn't get to my phone. Didn't mean to keep you waiting in the bar. Did you have my favorite beer, PBR, while you were there?

NOTE
Though I am a believer in the 10-minute rule, I didn't use it because:
1. We didn't set a specific time - I arrived at 7:15 and we were supposed to meet at 7:15 or 7:30.
2. I ordered and wanted to enjoy my beverage - not slam it.
3. There was plenty of entertainment available.
4. It wasn't Tammy (contrary to her delusional statement).

1- Actually, yes I DO know what it's like to sit alone at a bar. Weird.
2-Oh-my-freakin'-word. Chips and salsa? Honestly? Like, REAL chips and REAL salsa? It sounds like absolute heaven.
3-I'm sad I missed Ashley's videos.
4-Salsa? Seriously?

So... what's the deal with Tammy, anyway? We aren't convinced that she exists.
