And The Winner Is -
Each year at Thanksgiving, we have a tradition where we buy everyone at the dinner table a $1 lottery scratch-it card.
Traci's brother and girlfriend/partner (note: we need better words here...) hosted the dinner, and (among other things) we were bringing the scratch-its - which we forgot, so I ran to a convenience store to buy more. During dinner, a few people won a few dollars.
When we got home, we realized we had the 12 forgotten lottery cards. Kevin scratched a few and won a dollar. Nick scratched a few more and didn't win anything. And then, along comes Jonas.
First card: $3
Second card: $20
Third card: $50
TOTAL: $73
We cashed in the cards today, and Jonas thought that maybe we should buy more cards. I tried explaining that we only do this once a year and we usually don't win much and that people usually lose money when playing the lottery, but I don't think he believed me.

A - I thought you were going to announce the winner of the name-the-toddler contest. :(
B - What's wrong with "partner?" I had a teacher in high school that referred to her boyfriend/partner as her "sweetheart." I thought it worked well.
5 - Tell Jonas gambling is awesome! I went to the casino with my parents tonight and came out 60 bucks ahead! Gambling is grrrrrrreat! And a wonderful and dependable way to make a living without having to do real work. You can just print this out and read it to him if you like. You're welcome.

I love gambling too! There are no clocks in casinos, so it's ok if you can't tell time. That stupid little hand always gets me! Be sure to rub his head for good luck.

Hahaaaa....gambling is fun. Seriously, that's a good investment. Pay for Kevin's college that way. :-) They've got little slot machines on every street corner over here, it's pretty awesome.
