Last weekend - Speech tournament at Western Washington U
Highlights included:
* Staying at a horrible motel (drug deals, cops arrive due to the married couple in the room next to me fighting, no internet). The funny part of this was that my students clearly and regularly expressed their displeasure and seemed convinced that I intended/hoped for this to happen.
* Good times with a great group of students.
* Putting $116 of gasoline into the university bus (as in the "short bus" - appropriate).
* Eating lunch at a grocery store - twice.
This past week, I arrived to my office to find my calculator in Jello - waiting for me on my desk.
If you're not a fan of The Office, I don't expect you to appreciate the beauty in this act. I love it.

Is it sick that I actually miss getting up at ungodly hours on Saturdays and riding in the short bus to podunk towns to talk in front of people? Is that weird? I really think it might be. Ok, I don't actually miss getting up early. At all. But I miss free food. I totally miss that.

Man, I am almost disappointed I wasn't there for WWU. And then I remember it's WWU and know I got the better end of the deal.

I may not have an appreciation for the Office, but I DO know why Jell-O is funny...kudos to the prankster (Masa?)
