Eulogy For My Bathroom

(NOTE: Photo is from March. Don't worry - I didn't cut my hair.)

In order to move to Dreamland, Oregon, one of the miracles we need is for our house to sell. Mike the real estate agent walked through our house, and did not think that people would want a bathroom like ours. Apparently, people like boring colors. So, the bathroom got painted today. Hence, the following.

* * * * * * * *

I remember the time that I painted you.
It took twelve days, with many a hue
Of purple bubbles - dark, medium, and light.
With "Evita" playing, so pretty, at night.

But today I had to paint you tan.
To sell the house, gotta please da man.
You were the best bathroom for our fam.
I'm sorry. I'll miss you. Fondly, Sam.

This poem is dedicated to my mom, clm, who provided a great example of how multiple colors can be used to create an attractive bathroom. My mom rules.

You're so sweet, Sam. It is sad to see the circles go. Back to the boring world of bleak America.

That's really sad, actually....your bathroom was a really awesome part of your house. I seriously liked it a lot! But, just think--if you move to the neverland ranch out in north plains, you'll have a lot more to paint! :-)

Gotta please da man... That is the best part of the poem. Sad to see the bubbles die, but if you get the new house, you should totally paint every bathroom as a tribute to the old one.. but in a new color.. Like pink, red, rose, rouge, salmon, light pink, light.... well you get the point
