Even Steven

I heard two things that were quite strange this week. One was amusing, and the other irritating.

AMUSING
In public speaking class, the students introduced each other. One of my students has a dog named Shadow, but he calls it Delores. (That's kinda like me calling our rat terrier, Wynnie, "Big Fat Fattie.")

IRRITATING
While trying to get my office phone connected, I learned that our school's tech department charges other campus departments $25 to connect a university phone line. In spite of the university's policy that campus departments do not charge one another for services, my department is getting charged.

So we see another examples of Seinfeld's "Even Steven" concept - one thing makes me laugh and another makes me mad - hence, I'm even.
