Need Any Staples?

One of the many tasks I have this week before classes start is to move offices. In preparing for the move - to my fifth office in nine years! - I combined all of the supplies for the forensics team with my office supplies. I kind of have a thing for office supplies, and was wondering if I need to order more of them. I don't.

Among the inventory, I found:
8 pairs of scissors,
7 staplers,
2 electric pencil sharpeners, and
over 85,000 staples.

I sorta remembering an ordering snafu with staples last year - like I misunderstood how many staples were in a pack. I thought I was ordering 4,500 and ended up receiving 60,000. However, I can't account for the other 25,000 staples.

IN OTHER NEWS - Recently I have noticed myself driving rather slowly. I'll look at the speedometer and notice that I'm about 10 mph under the speed limit. Then I'll speed up, and a few minutes later, I'll realize that I'm pokey again. Fascinating.

You really shouldn't have told me that you drive slowly...cut to: me telling joke after joke about how you drive like an old person. Maybe all those staples are slowing you down!

Hmmm... maybe you're under-stapling? Just like underspeeding... How's your blood pressure - low? Stress level??? It's all about balance, baby. Yin and yang, fire and water, staples and... paper clips? Hey, you didn't mention those.

Hope your move goes well.

We'll go through those staples this year. Don't worry. With all the cutting we're going to do...they'll get used.
