By The Numbers, Number 2

Since several Fondly, Sam readers have been asking about the garden lately, here is a quick update, with a few other gems as well from today's activities.

100 - Percentage of the exterior of my new gas can that the gas station flunkie covered with gasoline.

82 - Today's high temperature! Sunny, too.

46 - Number of roma tomatoes that I picked.

42 - Number of candy bars that Nick sold at a Hillsboro football game.

12 - Size of pak of PBR that scarey-looking mulleted man was buying at 7-11 when I was getting a SuperBigGulp of Diet Pepsi. Turns out that Tammy was waiting in his El Camino.

10 - While talking to Tammy for two minutes, number of times she bragged about her appearance.

4 - Number of dollars I paid for awesome/ugly plaid shorts at Good Will that I'm wearing right now.

3 - Number of cucumbers harvested.

2 - Number of sweet peas (the flower) that I picked. I'm sure you realize the signficance of this flower blooming so late in the gardening season.

1 - Number of lupine (again, a flower) that I cut. Again, significant.

0 - Number of times I thought, "Wow - I really like our dogs."

20- Today's high temperature. Of course, that's in centigrade, so I have no bloody idea what it means.
5-Minimum number of times per day that I wonder how everybody is doing.

The moral of the story is that you have yourself a tomato garden with some "flower" weeds.

I love that he sold the candy bars anyway even though he's not getting the money...is he going for the high score and the prize that goes with it?! Also--nice garden! Do they have bacon plants? If so, I'll plant some!

I'm like Thomas. I didn't hear any reference of meat...except for Tammy. What's up with that? Do you not like to plant meat?
