Survival Of The Fittest?
So, I'm home, and managed to survive another coaches' conference. Today was not too eventful, however:
1 - The coach who tends to have an extra eye kept it covered this weekend. (And by extra eye, I mean belly button peeking out to get a look.) I thought I saw it quickly wink at me one time, but I think that may have just been my fear tricking my imagination. Or at least I like to think that. Thanks to AshAttack for thinking of my potential suffering here.
2 - Of the four subcommittees formed to further explore certain issues, I managed to be a member of none of them. One of my favorite coaches, who I will call Dave, and I always joke about volunteering each other to serve on these committees. But since I like him, I will not do that to him.
3 - On the flight back to Portland today, there were six coaches in the waiting area at the Boise airport, including the two I successfully avoided on Thursday. There was no chance of avoidance today. And they kinda sat by me on the plane. And talked. One coach even talked to me from the row behind me, which, I believe, is against airplane rules. So, I guess I'm Even Steven in the avoidance area.
The nice thing about the coaches' conference is that since it is usually so painful to hear my colleagues speak, I look forward to the tournaments, where I get to hear students speak.

It's so good to have you back! Sounds like everything was par for the course during the weekend. I still think next year it should be held at Pacific.

I kept reading on, hoping to get to the good part when you talk about having cut my prose. Maybe that was between the third eye and the red eye.

Whew, Talk about "third-eye blind." I know that doesn't really make sence, but I thought I would throw the band reference in there anyhow.
