Garage Sale Awards

So, we had a garage sale today. Traci worked hard all week getting ready, and I jumped in Friday night and today. We got rid of a lot of stuff, and made a couple hundred dollars, so it's a win-win. As Traci and I talked with and listened to the cast of characters that were at our sale, there were some favorites. So, he we go with a list of awards to our favorite shoppers.

The THANKS FOR BUYING OUR HOME GYM SET THAT WE BOUGHT FROM A GARAGE SALE LAST YEAR AND NEVER USE award - to the woman from Gaston, who told me her settlement money should be coming in soon so her friend would be paying me, and wanted to leave the workout equipment in our garage until June. Umm, no.

The TEASE YOUR KID ABOUT CHRISTMAS award - to the mom who bought a pair of rollerskates for her son and asked him if he wanted them for Christmas. He said yes. As they left, Traci told me that by Christmas, he'll be old enough to realize that they are girls' skates, and he'll hate them.

The I ONLY HAVE BIG BILLS award - to the guy who had five dollars worth of junk to purchase, and said he only had a fifty and three ones, and asked if I would take three dollars, since I probably didn't have the change. I had the change. He surprisingly found a five-dollar bill, wanting, I'm sure, to save the fifty for the next sale.

The NOBODY WANTS YOU award - to our hampster, which we couldn't even give away (complete with cage, food, ball, and spinny running wheel).
