Notes for Nick

For Nick's birthday, his classmates of third- and fourth-graders each wrote him a note. Here are some excerpts:

* Nick, you are very nice. You keep trying and trying and trying.

* Happy Easter.

* Nick, your birthday party was off the hook. P.S. I have a big dum head.

* Hi, Nick. What's your favorite animal?

* You are good at riding motorbikes, motorcycles, and regular bikes.

* Nick - you are a very good friend and very helpful. You share your stuff.

* Nick, I like you - as a friend. You're funny.

* Do you like Star Wars? I like Star Wars, especially the war parts. You are also good at knock out.

Does anybody else think this sounds vaguely like a script by the "Napolean Dynamite" guys? I mean:

"Do you like Star Wars? I like Star Wars, especially the way parts. You are also good at knock out."

That's straight-up Napolean, my friends.

Kids are so cute! They're not scared to ask the "serious" questions or tell it like it is (i.e. "I like you - as a friend.")
