Parenting 101
In this dialogue, the pepper refers to a red bell pepper. (Isn't pepper a funny word?)
Nick: Hey, Dad, remember last year, when you paid me because I threw up after eating a pepper?
Sam: Actually, I paid you a quarter to taste a pepper. I didn't pay you because you threw up.
Nick: But, you gave me a dollar. You said you felt bad that I threw up, so you gave me more money.
Sam: Oh, yeah. I guess you're right.
Nick: So, you gave me a quarter to try the pepper and 75 cents because I threw up. That was worth it.

Once I got my dinner paid for because I ate a green crayon.. Isn't crayon a funny word? Your kids are great.
