Let Them Eat Cake
About 10 days ago, Nick saw a set of cake pans at a store. He's been talking about them for the last 10 days. Today, we went to the store and he bought them - with his own money.
Now, mind you, these aren't just any old cake pans. This is a set of four pans that can be used to make beautiful rounded cakes, with a surprise filling in the middle.
Tonight's project: Ice-cream cake. Yellow cake with cookie dough ice-cream and chocolate frosting. Pretty much the best thing ever.
Nick has agreed to make everyone's birthday cake. Birthdays are going to rule!

I picked a couple dozen zinnias from the garden - even a snapdragon. And a couple sweet peas are still blooming, too.

What the hell is a snapdragon? Sweet peas? There is not sweet about peas. They are a waste of growing space. Space that could be used to grow bacon plants (aka...pig feed troughs
