Check And Cross-check

Today was a big travel day – taking four (exceptional!) students to Washington, DC, for two speech tournaments this weekend. Highlights of the trip include:

* Meeting at 3:00am to go to the airport.

* Flying south (to Phoenix) before flying east to DC.

* The four-hour layover in Phoenix, which allowed for time to enjoy California Pizza Kitchen and the carpeted floor of gate A19.

* Driving around the Fairfax, Virginia area for over an hour and a half looking for the hotel (Mapquest sucks!). We called the hotel three times and stopped three times to ask people for directions.

* Hanging out with some of the coolest people that I know.

That's why you have to use yahoo maps! The hotel people couldn't tell the difference between their *** and a hole in the ground.

New rule for all future hotel front-staff flunkies: Learn the area our your hotel!! If you don't, I'll come after you with a shoe!!

SAM! I want to go to DC! Why can't I make the trip? Why do Jess and Ash get to go, but Mark and I don't?

We soo should have qualled for nationals last year. If we had qualled for nationals last year, would you have taken me?

Sam? Are you listening to me, Sam? SAM?!

i'm one of the coolest people you know?? i'm glad i already have that status, because i would not vandalize a friend's car with a dessert gift that HE GAVE ME, in order to be cool in your eyes. unless i was hopped up on prescription pills or something...
