T-Mac-less
My good friend, Thomas (T-Mac) McSizzle, left Oregon on Wednesday to spend a few days training in D.C. before going to Ukraine with the Peace Corps. He'll be teaching English until December of 2008. He's a great guy and those Ukranians are pretty lucky to get him.
I talked to him on Wednesday while he was at the Chicago airport. He told me that he thought he was at the right gate for his connecting flight to D.C., but he thought that the information at the gate was wrong, because it listed a different flight. He said he checked the screen, but he thought it may be wrong, too. I said a prayer for him.
He must have made it just fine, because he called me on Saturday, from a D.C. airport, as he was getting ready for a flight to Germany, and then Kiev. His few days in D.C. were great and he met some wonderful Peace Corps folk. He was off to get some food (possibly his last delicious cheeseburger without any plant life on it). His big adventure was starting. I said another prayer for him.
I'm thinking about him a lot and I really miss him.

I miss him to. I think he'll fit in great over there, considering plant life doesn't exist in Ukraine!
